My name is Irina Vencu (Romanian citizen and Swiss resident) and I am the mother of Iosif, my three year old son from a mixed marriage with Mr. Hamzeh Buqaei, Jordanian citizen (I am of Christian faith and my husband is Muslim). My son is baptized Christian.
Iosif was born in Switzerland and has dual citizenship, Romanian and Jordanian, as well as Swiss residency. In June 2015 I started divorce and custody procedures through the Court in Zurich, Switzerland, as our marriage was not working anymore. Mr. Hamzeh Buqaei refused to admit that it is my right to divorce him and ask for the child custody and in August 2015 kidnaped my son and ever since he is hiding in Jordan at his family house. He knows he is safe from the law in Jordan, because this country has not signed the Hague Convention and has no extradition treaties with any country in the world. Nor do Jordanian Sharia courts recognize any foreign court decisions.
I have now the complete custody of my son from the Court in Zurich and Mr. Hamzeh Buqaei is a fugitive from the law, but still I cannot be with Iosif due to the lack of involvement from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Romanian governments and to the important position of Mr. Hamzeh Buqaei family in Jordan, one of his uncles, being a member of the Jordanian Parliament House of Representatives.
This petition will be forwarded to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan embassies in Switzerland and Romania and to the Prime Minister Office in Romania, so they can act and help me be part of my child’s life and upbringing.
Give Iosif the chance to be with his mother! I think no authority on earth can be the mother of a child. We all need our mother, so I ask the King to remember we all need our mothers and help this child reunite with his mummy. Thank you!

why didnt you file a divorce request in Jordan and asked for the custadoy of your son as per the jordanian law. regardless of how powerful you think this family is, theres is a law system in Jordan by which you are entitled for both divorce and keeping the custody of your son. I think fighting your battle outside Jordan will lead you to the no where. go back, hire an attorney and sue him as per his country’s law. again, dont feel trapped or scared of the power network. once its officially sent to the jordanian courts no power figure can stop the decisions made by court. hire an attorney there and contact the romanian/ switzerland embassy for further support in Jordan.
Thank you for the support and advice. I already have legal cases in Jordan both through the Religious and Civil Courts but do to the nefarious influence of the Boucai clan and particularly of Abed Rahim Boucai court terms are getting postponed over and over again for more than a year.

why do you think approaching the international media only will serve your case. take your battles to his home country wether using the media or the law system there.
Thank you for your advice. I am trying to contact the Jordanian media but because of the influence of the Boucai clan and of ex-mayor of Amman Abed Rahim Boucai people are quite scared to go pass the initial phase and actually publish the story.
